Declutter Your Closet

While sheltering in place isn’t the ideal way to spend springtime, you might as well take advantage of the extra time at home. My recommendation? Take some time to declutter your closet! Here’s how:

  • Take everything out of your closet—yes, everything—and lay it on your bed or a clean floor.

  • Sort all of your items by category to see how many you have of each type.

  • Get rid of any items you haven’t worn in the last six months.

  • Be honest with yourself on “maybe” items—we wear 20% of our wardrobe 80% of the time!

  • Donate items to a local charity, Goodwill, or the Salvation Army.

  • Bonus: Go through your closet evert season to maintain tidiness!

Decluttering will help you stay organized, and it will make you feel better! Plus it will save you valuable packing time if you ever decide to move. Happy decluttering!
